Posted on September 26, 2020 at 1:13 pm

The much awaited PS5 has finally been confirmed for release on the 19th November 2020. Pre orders have been taken and they have already had two waves of stock which have sold out within hours of it hitting the stores. The first wave of stock was available from most retailers and sold out quite quickly and Sony had to apologise to the number of people that were left without one. The second release of stock was only limited to certain retailers and again sold out this time within hours.

Gamers were very frustrated when trying to pre order the PlayStation 5 as many of the websites that they tried to order through were constantly crashing. Game decided to put people in a queue but many found that even when they got to the front go the queue, the website then crashed.

Many sites are now being flooded with people trying to sell their pre ordered PS5 consoles fr more money than they paid. If you are considering buying one of these, you need to ensure that you have some sort of protection and do not transfer any money to a bank account directly as you will have little or no comeback should the item not arrive on the day expected.

Why are some games more expensive than others?

Posted on August 22, 2020 at 2:04 pm

If you own an Xbox or PlayStation then you will know that the cost of the games can differ greatly. Some games that get released may only cost £20 or £30 where as others can cost upwards of £50-£60. This is a huge price difference and often it can be hard to see why one is so much more expensive than the other. Sometimes the price increase is justified by the game having some new feature that made it more costly to build but often it is simply because the sellers know that people will pay premium prices for a certain game. For example, the new Avengers game is due to be released on the 4th September this year. The price for the standard version is £50. This is a fair amount of money to pay for a game that you may even complete in a week. The creators know that because it is a Marvel game, it will be extremely popular so therefore they can ask a higher price. Marvel have released many games in the past which often sell for a high price.

IF you want to try and grab a deal it may be worth waiting a few weeks until some preowned ones become available.
