Good news for all Borderlands fans with current-gen consoles, as Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has just been announced for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The collection which is a bundle of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, will contain improvements in performance and resolution, whilst also having a four-player split-screen co-op mode which they claim has never been seen on a console before.
If you have a version of the games on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or PlayStation Vita, then you will now have the opportunity to cross-save, meaning you can continue with your game on the newer platforms.
The collection will be available from March 27 in Europe, with it being discussed at PAX South this weekend.

Developer Pringo Dingo Games have announced their two-player multiplayer game – Paparazzi. A game where each player takes the role of either a celebrity or their enemy… the paparazzi. Original right?
“We initially made the game for a game jam centred with the theme of a Matthew McConaughey quote: ‘Cameras aren’t guns. They can’t really hurt you’. Pringo Dingo Games is a three person studio, and we are incredibly excited about how far we’ve brought the game since that jam.”
The game sounds absolutely horrible and something that would’ve worked back in the early 90’s with the 32-bit consoles. We can’t imagine many players playing this on their PS4 when it releases in the PlayStation Store February 2015.

According to an EA representative the Xbox One is catching up to the PlayStation 4 in terms of sales. EA’s Blake Jorgensen spoke about the ground that Microsoft have gained, saying;
“Clearly Sony has jumped out to a lead with a great console and I think a great pricing strategy, [but] Microsoft is catching up quickly. Pricing actions that are taking place, particularly during this Christmas season, driven by Microsoft, around reduction plus a lot of bundled software, I think will continue to pull the consumer into the new consoles.”
The Xbox One’s success this quarter is no surprise, with special bundles and price discounts leading to plenty of new sales. Compared to release date, the console itself has cut its price by £100.

Gaming giants Microsoft have announced that their most popular franchise, Halo has sold over 60 million copies worldwide since 2001. They’ve also announced that over 6 billion hours have been spent on the games, which equates to 684,000 years.
Leading franchises such as Nintendo’s Mario and Pokemon, EA Sports’ Need for Speed and FIFA have sold much more with over 100 million copies under their belt, but the Halo franchise has never been cross-platform, or available for a portable device, which further shows how impressive the 60 million feat really is.
This number should only increase in the near future with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection – Xbox One bundle and the release of Halo 5: Guardians in 2015.

Nintendo had confirmed a flop with its new console Nintendo Wii U despite a worldwide high in game console sales. Nintendo has admitted that the low sales of the new console has caused huge problems for them financially.
Nintendo said they expect a loss of $240 million (25 million Japanese yen) in the year to the end of March, reversing an earlier 55 billion Japanese yen net profit forecast, while annual revenue would drop 36 percent. Their initially predicted sales number of 9 million units has now changed to 2.8 million units which is less than a third of expected. In conclusion of the loss Nintendo have announced that its CEO will be taking a 50 percent pay cut to make up for losses, however. They still remain firm, though shaken, in the wake of Wii U’s poor numbers but its no secret that Nintendo has seen better days , especially with the Nintendo 3DS.
